We’ve Seen Patient Success Locally & Worldwide With Our Unique & Exclusive MyoWorx® Approach

Terry Moore's MyoWorx® Approach
MyoWorx Physiotherapy goes beyond symptom management to heal the underlying injury itself. Developed by Terry Moore, MyoWorx treatment enables the patient to take back control of their life through specifically designed exercise facilitated by the MyoWorx TM20. It is a comprehensive approach that includes all phases of treatment – from a comprehensive initial assessment to in-clinic treatment and at-home participation.
The TM20 Device
The MyoWorx proprietary methodology includes the use of the MyoWorx TM20 device. The TM20 device is approved by Health Canada and the FDA to be a safe and effective treatment for muscle relaxation and increased local blood flow. The MyoWorx TM20 device can precisely target distressed areas to deliver a specified sequence of timed and abrupt electrical frequency changes. The frequencies used in the MyoWorx TM20 treatment decrease the tension of the muscle fibres and lead to greater blood flow inducing biochemical changes affecting the fatigued or injured muscles. By altering the biochemical changes that occur in these muscles, the treatment restores proper long-term control of blood flow to the muscle. This enables the muscles to completely relax and prepares them for the next phase of treatment, accelerating the positive impact of our specifically designed exercises and healing.
Cognitive Health Assessments
Computer-based cognitive health assessments are just one important piece of our concussion program. Cognitive health is your ability to think, remember and learn and can vary from day to day. Many factors such as sleep, diet, mood, and even weather can impact cognition.
Integrating cognitive health assessments into our concussion program educates you on your current cognitive health and allows you to track changes in your cognition during and after treatment.

MyoWorx®
Accelerated Recovery Program (ARP)

Facilitate your recovery from long standing concussion or chronic symptoms with the MyoWorx Accelerated Recovery Program (ARP). ARP is an intensive (minimum recommended) 2-week daily treatment program to target the underlying source of all your concussion symptoms.
The ARP program consists of:
- Extensive initial assessment
- Cognitive Health Assessment (and ongoing assessments for 1 year)
- Daily extended 1:1 MyoWorx treatments (Monday to Friday)
- Individual consultations with Terry Moore (Founder & Developer of MyoWorx)
- “Break-through” sessions to help you build independence and confidence to take back control of your body while creating community and support in a group-based atmosphere
- Full Summary Report of Results
Our data for concussion treatment shows that daily treatments result in a higher rate of symptom improvement compared with a lower frequency of treatments. This means that although ARP are only in-clinic for a short period, the majority see significant improvements in their symptoms.
Your healthcare provider team will provide you with education, hands-on treatment, personal exercise guidance and tailored functional activities to help facilitate your ability to self-manage symptoms through exercise and help you get back to life.
Do you think that this program could be right for you? We offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation so that you can learn more about the ARP directly from a MyoWorx therapist. Contact us to book your free video consultation.

Our physiotherapists can provide a disability note following your assessment at the clinic if they deem it appropriate. The disability note will only be valid during the time you are a current patient at the clinic. Therefore, if you come to the clinic for a two-week treatment plan, the provided disability note would only be valid for those two weeks. Ongoing video-based treatment can be arranged with one of our designated Kinesiologists. However, after physiotherapy discharge, you are no longer classified as a current physiotherapy patient and consequently, any administered disability notes would no longer be valid.
On your last day of treatment, your physiotherapist will perform a reassessment to determine your health status upon discharge. At this time, the physiotherapist will advise upon how to progress exercises at home. You can also book video consultations provided by one of our designated Kinesiologists (your first video consultation is included in the cost of the program). We will provide you with information and a suggested format for this during your last few days of the in-clinic program. Our physiotherapists are also able to provide video-based consultation to Ontario-only residents.
Terry is not a medical doctor or a physiotherapist. He is actually a neuromuscular and cardiovascular physiologist – that’s what makes our clinic so unique! Terry sometimes works with patients in concurrence with physiotherapy but provides general oversight and care under separate billing, which is not classified as physiotherapy. When a patient has been discharged from their physiotherapist but continues to receive treatment from Terry (or his designated healthcare provider) either in person or via video sessions, all their treatments are then classified as MyoWorx® and their physiotherapist is no longer responsible for their care.
MyoWorx Physiotherapy Guelph is currently the only clinic in the world that offers MyoWorxⓇ treatment.
We do not offer direct billing. After you pay for treatment, we will create an invoice receipt for you to send to your insurance or extended health benefits provider if applicable. If you are from out of the country, it is unlikely that your insurance provider will accept Canadian physiotherapy charges. Always check with your insurance company ahead of time if you are planning on submitting your invoices.
We accept Mastercard®, Visa®, debit, cheque, or exact cash.
